Items International, CEO
Masters degree in mathematics and Telecom Engineer. He started his career at France Telecom in 1981. He later worked for DAFSA (a Company working on Financial and Stock exchange Information) as a software developer to set up an international stock exchange information network. He joined the consulting company AUSY in 1986 as a Senior Consultant in IT and telecommunications. He assisted public and private organizations in IT and Telecom design. He became VP Consulting Department in 1991.
In the framework of his responsibilities at AUSY, he launched ITEMS INTERNATIONAL in 1994 with Dr Sylviane Toporkoff with a view to addressing strategic consulting in Digital Economy.
He has assisted private groups and public strategies on Telecom infrastructures, Internet services, Mobile, Software strategies … He left AUSY and became ITEMS CEO in 2005 to develop the company on its own.
Through his work in telecommunications, TV and the software industry, he has developed specific expertise on Open Source and Standardization. He assisted ETSI and worked in cooperation with the European Commission on these issues. As a result of a consulting study with the Paris government, he launched the Open World Forum in 2008.
In 2012, he has been working on many projects about Smart Grids and Smart Cities including a specific focus on the impact of software technologies on these issues.
